Flagship review
Full Equipment Finance Application Review
An independent, file-level assessment of repayment capacity, asset fit, supplier evidence, structure and proposed credit conditions.
Who this review is for
The full review is designed for banks, non-bank lenders, equipment finance brokers and credit teams that need a second, independent view before a transaction reaches final approval. It is most useful for new-to-bank borrowers, specialised machinery, large balloon payments, related-party suppliers, rapid business expansion or files where the narrative and the numbers do not align cleanly.
The decision it supports
We do not approve or decline credit. We give the accountable credit decision-maker a traceable assessment of what is supported, what remains uncertain and which conditions would materially reduce loss risk. The result is a concise written report suitable for a credit memorandum or committee pack.
Included in scope
- Review of management accounts, annual financial statements and relevant bank statements supplied through an agreed secure channel.
- Normalisation of earnings for once-off items, owner expenses and unsupported adjustments.
- Debt-service assessment against the proposed instalment profile, including seasonality where the record permits.
- Reasonableness check of equipment specification, productive use, invoice value, deposit and expected economic life.
- Supplier identity, quotation consistency and visible related-party or concentration concerns.
- Review of term, balloon, security, insurance and proposed conditions precedent.
- A risk register separating adverse findings, missing evidence and monitoring points.
- A 45-minute findings call and one round of factual corrections.
The mandate excludes legal opinions, physical equipment inspection, formal valuation, forensic investigation, tax advice and the lender’s final credit decision. We can coordinate a specialist where one is required, subject to a separate quote.
How the mandate runs
1. Scope and conflict check
You send a high-level description of the borrower, equipment, supplier, amount and decision deadline. Please do not place identity records or financial statements in the website form. We confirm independence, secure document-transfer arrangements and the fee.
2. Evidence schedule
We issue a focused request list rather than asking for an undifferentiated data room. A typical file includes the application, financial statements, current management accounts, bank evidence, debt schedule, equipment quotation, supplier details and motivation for the purchase.
3. Analysis and challenge
The reviewer reconciles the commercial story to cash generation, existing obligations, asset use and transaction structure. Gaps are raised in one consolidated query log where practical.
4. Findings
You receive an executive conclusion, key assumptions, financial observations, transaction risks and proposed mitigants. Each material point identifies its evidence source or clearly states that evidence was unavailable.
Preparation and constraints
Appoint one contact who can answer factual queries. English-language records are preferred; translated records may extend timing. The standard three-to-five-day period begins after the agreed core documents arrive. Urgent work is accepted only where the review can remain responsible.
Fee and next step
Standard files begin at R18,500 excluding VAT. Complex groups, multiple assets, cross-border suppliers and accelerated deadlines are quoted after scoping. A 50% commencement deposit may apply for first-time clients. Describe the application and decision date to receive a written scope.
