The review process
From application pack to usable findings
The step-by-step process for an independent equipment finance application financial audit and risk review.
One route through a complex file
The review follows a defined sequence, but the questions remain specific to the borrower, asset and proposed terms.
01 · Mandate and independence
We receive a non-sensitive outline: applicant name, asset category, facility amount, supplier and decision date. After a conflict check, we agree the question to be answered, exclusions, fee and accountable contact.
02 · Secure evidence intake
Confidential records are not collected through the public website form. We agree a secure transfer method and issue a proportionate evidence schedule covering financial performance, current debt, bank conduct, equipment, supplier and transaction structure.
03 · Reconciliation
We connect reported earnings to cash movement and obligations. The asset’s productive role is compared with its price, expected life, deployment timing and the applicant’s operating record.
04 · Consolidated challenge
Contradictions and material gaps are placed in a query log. Questions identify why the evidence matters, helping the lender or broker obtain a useful answer rather than another generic document.
05 · Risk classification
Findings are separated into adverse evidence, unresolved uncertainty, structural weakness and monitoring considerations. This prevents a missing document from carrying the same meaning as proven misrepresentation.
06 · Report and discussion
The report presents an executive view, calculations, assumptions, transaction observations, limitations and possible conditions. A findings call tests factual accuracy without allowing advocacy to erase an unsupported concern.
What to have ready
For initial scoping, know the requested amount, equipment type, purpose, supplier, applicant’s industry, legal entities involved and decision deadline. Full records are requested only after engagement terms and secure handling are in place.
