About System Resolver Base

Judgement grounded in the file

Independent equipment finance application risk review shaped by South African credit practice and clear evidence.

Why the practice exists

System Resolver Base was formed around a recurring credit problem: equipment applications often arrive as separate pieces—a set of accounts, a supplier quotation, a motivation and proposed terms—while risk sits in the connections between them.

We provide an independent review before approval, helping lenders and brokers distinguish a document gap from a weak borrower, an unsuitable asset or a structure that needs adjustment.

The work behind the opinion

Our reviewers bring experience in commercial credit analysis, financial statement review and asset-backed transaction assessment. Work is led from Cape Town and delivered across South Africa. Where a mandate needs a physical inspection, specialist valuation, legal opinion or sector engineer, we say so and keep that boundary visible.

Principles at the desk

Evidence before confidence

Every material conclusion should trace to a supplied record, a calculation or a clearly labelled assumption. Missing evidence is not quietly converted into a favourable fact.

Proportionate challenge

We concentrate effort where loss can arise. A standard vehicle and a specialised production line do not require identical questions.

Independence without theatre

The lender retains its credit authority. We present supportable findings, limitations and mitigants; we do not use dramatic red flags to substitute for judgement.

Respect for the applicant

A robust review can still be fair. Queries are consolidated, sensitive records are handled through agreed secure channels, and conclusions distinguish poor presentation from adverse substance.

Working relationship

Most engagements begin with a conflict check and short scope call. A named lead reviewer remains accountable through the question log, report and findings discussion. We accept only mandates for which time and expertise permit a responsible opinion.
